A FREE LENT BIBLE STUDY
Scripture is threaded throughout with interconnections, both forward-looking and backward-looking. The Good Friday death of the innocent Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, is foreshadowed and reflected in the biblical accounts of other deaths endured by numerous innocent sufferers, from Abel to Stephen. In this seven-part Lent study, six of these tragic killings are linked together with the crucifixion of Jesus, leading us to contemplate what it all means for how we live today.
A FREE LENT BIBLE STUDY
A Lent Study was developed for this last Lent/Easter Season, and the studies are still relevant outside of the Easter Season. Our God is nothing if not creative, and he communicates his truth not only through propositions, but also through pictures: The cross, the table, the bread, the wine, the foot-washing, the palm fronds, and the lily. Each image symbolically expresses an important truth about our Savior. During these 40 days approaching Easter we pause, we reflect, we repent, and we worship. Ultimately, we are confronted with the magnitude of our sin and the even greater magnitude of our Savior’s love, who shed his blood at the Cross that we might have life.
