By the time the CLB reached its one-year anniversary in December 1901, it was apparent to all within the CLB that they must find a viable Bible school option for training their own pastors and missionaries or fade away from the lack thereof.

As I lead Hillcrest into this next chapter, my heart is full of hope. I believe this school matters more now than ever. We are unapologetically Christ-centered, committed to Classical Christian Education, and passionate about forming students in faith, intellect, and character. 

After a thorough and prayerful search, the Board of Directors of Hillcrest Lutheran Academy is pleased to announce that Luke Fiskness has been selected as the school’s next President.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, I want to express our profound gratitude to President Brad Hoganson and “the first lady of Hillcrest,” Traci Hoganson, for their faithful commitment and transformative service to our school.

Ruth came to Hillcrest Academy in Fergus Falls, Minnesota as a Junior, bringing with her a well-marked Bible, since she had been following Jesus from childhood.

But when I think of mentorship and discipleship over my 57 years, I always recall people first. Men and women freely and joyfully shared their faith and lives with me, pointing me to Jesus because they loved Jesus and loved me, especially when I wasn’t very lovable.
