In the business and administration of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren’s ministry, God is glorified; he provides the means and multiplies the harvest by our hands and feet.

Let us not shrink back. Let us continue in good works. Let us love one another. Let us partner in mission, let us unleash new leaders, let us multiply new disciples. Let us live such good lives among those lost in darkness that they wonder where our hope comes from. 

We need the same posture that Jesus had in John 13 when he knelt down to wash his disciples’ feet―a posture of serving those who will be unleashed so they will go on to serve with humility, love, courage, and strength.

The reason we talk so much about developing new leaders is because we desperately need them. Across denominations, churches face the reality of aging leadership and a shortage of people prepared to lead ministries into the future. 

Disciples make disciples; leaders make leaders; congregations make congregations, who are then unleashed to birth new generations! The Bible is less an assembly manual on how to construct a disciple than it is a photo album of a family with kids.

 Rejoicing in the Lord’s gifts, the intent of this paper is to set forth God’s good design for women in the church, so they participate and serve with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.

As the greater CLB family of North America comes together this year to mark the 125th anniversary of our founding as a synod and seek the Lord’s direction and guidance for the future, it is entirely fitting that we should choose this occasion to reprint The Quiet Hour, which stands as a literary testimonial—an Ebenezer stone—to God’s unbroken arc of faithfulness to us across the generations.

God’s grace overflows into every aspect of our callings. We do not need to do them perfectly; we can step out imperfectly because Jesus lived perfectly on our behalf. The Cross covers us and sends us out to tell of the good news of Jesus Christ!

Celebrating the CLB 125th Anniversary at BC26 was a foretaste of heaven. Is that sentiment too strong? This gathering was a reunion of saints. The Lord was present among us through his Word and Sacrament.

We are excited to announce the WMCLB Biennial Convention, which will be held on June 13, 2026, at Bethel Church in Fergus Falls, MN.

Rev Michael Edwards (Good News LBC, McAlisterville, PA) and Rev Mark Nienow (True Life Church, Rochester, MN) have been put forward by the Council of Directors and have graciously agreed to be open for nomination as president of the CLB.
